The Audiences tab consolidates audiences gathered by Samsung DSP from Samsung Ads Proprietary data, First and Third-Party providers.

This page allows you to specify the audiences you wish to target for your campaign.

You can select audiences created using the Audience Builder tool, also known as Legacy Audiences, or audiences generated through the Audience Solutions feature. For more information about Audience Solutions, please refer to Audience Solutions.


Audiences

The following audiences are available when you select Legacy Audiences in the Targeting Type section.

Clicking on an audience ID opens an Information Dashboard page for more details about its performance.

Lotame ($)

This feature is not supported yet in every region.
For now, only the following locations have access: USA, CA and MX.

Lotame is an audience provider.

When enabling Lotame segment targeting, the applicable fee is not cumulative. It is obtained by taking the maximum CPM of all enabled audience categories below.
For instance, when targeting by gender ($0.50 CPM) and by context ($0.75 CPM), the total incurred fee is $0.75 CPM.

Use the Filter field to look for audiences targeting a specific genre.

LiveRamp ($)

This feature is not supported yet in every region.
For now, only the following locations have access: USA, CA and MX.

LiveRamp is an audience provider that serves both First and Third-Party data.

To select the desired audiences, click on the tab corresponding to your preference.

3rd partyWhen targeting using 3rd party LiveRamp segments, the applicable fee is obtained by taking the sum of the maximum CPM for each of the different providers used in the flight. For instance, when targeting segment 1 (provider A, $0.75 CPM), segment 2 (provider A, $1.25 CPM), and segment 3 (provider B, $1.00 CPM), the total incurred fee is $2.25 CPM

Nielsen Marketing Cloud ($)

This feature is not supported yet in every region.
For now, only the following locations have access: USA, CA and MX.

Nielsen Marketing Cloud is an audience provider.

CPM upcharge depends on the segments selected and might have a different CPM if it’s display or video.


Target an audience

  1. In the Targeting Type section, select the tool which helps you create your audience. If you have used the Audience Builder tool, select Legacy Audiences, otherwise select Audience Solutions.
  2. In the list, click on the checkmark icon to select the audience(s) you want to use for targeting.
  3. You can select several audiences and create a Preset that will be saved as a template. Presets allows you to save time from manually assigning the same audiences to different flights. See Presets for more information.
  • You can create a new audience from the Flight Audiences tab by clicking Create New Audience. This button will direct you to Audience Solutions. See Audience Solutions for more information.
  • Clicking on an audience ID will direct you to the Edit page of this audience. This is a useful shortcut if you want to add or remove segments.

You can select multiple audiences as long as they originate from the same tool. In other words, you cannot combine an audience created from Audience Builder (Legacy Audiences) with one created from the Audience Solution tool (Audience Solutions).

Presets

Presets group together a collection of frequently used items.

This saves you a significant amount of time and effort, as you can quickly access all the items you need in one place.

Use presets to personalize your workflow, giving it a tailored approach and enhancing productivity along the way.

The changes you apply to the presets in the Marketplace will be automatically reflected in the presets you have previously selected in the Flight Marketplace tab.

Create a preset

  1. Click on the checkbox to select the audiences you want to include in the preset.
  2. Once your selection is complete, click on the Floppy Disk icon to save your preset.

  3. In the pop-up window, enter a name for this preset and click on Save Preset.

Your preset will appear in the Presets drop-down list.

Rename a preset

  1. In the Presets drop-down list, select a preset.
  2. Click on the pencil icon to edit the selected preset.

  3. Change the name and click on Rename Preset to confirm.

Delete an existing preset

  1. In the Presets drop-down list, select a preset.
  2. Click on the pencil icon to edit the selected preset.

  3. In the pop-up window, click on Delete Presets to confirm.
  4. Click on Delete to confirm.

Edit an existing preset

  1. In the Presets drop-down list, select a preset.
  2. Add or remove audiences from the list by clicking on the checkboxes.
  3. Once done, click on the floppy disk icon to save your changes.

  4. From this point, you can either update the current preset by selecting Update Existing OR create a new preset from this one that will include your changes by clicking on Save as New.
