Follow the instructions described below to set up a study period:

  1. Click the calendar icon to select a Study Period and use either an existing predefined period or select a custom period. Click apply to save your changes.
  2. If applicable, enter a Rolling window. A rolling window permits the creation of audiences based on a continuously refreshed dataset relative to the current date, e.g., last 7 days.  The rolling window period can be up to one year, defined either in days (1-365) or weeks (1-52) and requires an end date. The end date can be any date between the current date and up to one year in the future.
  3. If applicable, select Only include newly activated TVs.

If you ticked the Only include newly activated TVs checkbox to filter on only those specifically.

  • Study Period: Samsung DSP enables you to build audiences based on a static study period, with pre-defined date ranges (7 days, 30 days, 90 days) or custom ranges. Enter the date range for the study period and click on Apply.

OR

  • Rolling Window: The Rolling window enables the creation of audiences based on a continuously refreshed dataset with respect to the current date, e.g., last 7 days, last 30 days, etc. The rolling window period can be up to a year, defined either in days (1-365) or weeks (1-52), and requires an end date. For the end date, any day between the current date and up to a year ahead may be selected.

Audience Details

  • Geography: Use the State drop-down list to the area from which you want to retrieve the data sets.

The DMA information is only available in the US.

TV Info

  • TV OS: The OS associated with Samsung TV like Tizen.
  • TV Model Year: Provides TV model year like 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 etc.
  • TV Chipset: Chipset of the Samsung TV.
  • ISP: The latest Internet Service Provider (ISP) associated with the TV.

Data details

  • Data Source: The source of the Samsung TV info data is the TV itself.
  • Data Calculation: The Samsung TV Info provides 2 options to the users building Audiences:
  • Based on the last 16 months (Default option): The audience can be built using a selection of TV OS, Model Year, Chipset ISP, DMA/Geo (for US only) association over the last 16 months. The audience creation considers the most recent association of TV OS, Model Year, Chipset, ISP, DMA/Geo while doing audience building. There is no minimum time period of association requirement.
  • Based on a Study Period/Rolling Window: The audience can be built using a selection of newly activated TVs during the study period for a given selection of TV OS, Model Year, Chipset, ISP, DMA/Geo (for the US only) association.
    Any TV matching the selection criteria will be added to the output list.
  • Data Availability/delay: The Samsung TV Info is updated daily by the TVs and is available within 24 hours after the update on the TV.
