Creative Group combines the creatives associated with the same advertiser into a specific group, offering you greater control over their targeting and rotation capabilities.
With this feature, you can easily rotate your creatives by specifying a different start and end date for each group assigned to a flight, instead of configuring each of them individually.
You can benefit from this feature to influence the creative broadcast frequency through a weight-based prioritization system.
Create a creative group
- On the left menu, click Creatives .
- In the upper right-hand corner, click + New Creative Group.
When creating a creative group, Samsung DSP considers only one creative type and format.
General Settings
Samsung DSP will retrieve the existing creatives that are pertinent to the parameters you define in the General Settings section.
1.Name: Enter a name for the creative group.
2.Advertiser: Select the advertiser associated with the creatives you want to include in the group.
3.Language: Selecting a language will filter the existing creatives to display in the list only those corresponding to the selected language.
4.Type: Select or enter the creative type that should be assigned to this group.
5.Format: Based on the selected type, the corresponding format(s) will be automatically populated in the drop-down. For example, if you have selected Video in the Type drop-down, Video will be displayed in the Format drop-down list.
6.External Label: You can provide an external label to facilitate reporting across different systems. After impressions have been delivered, reports pivoted around this field can be pulled from the Delivery reports. See Delivery for more details.
Creative Optimization
This section appears if you select in the Type drop-down list one of the Native TV Creatives. See Native TV Ads for more details.
- If you select Manual, you have full control over the prioritization of the creatives attached to this group. This means that you decide which creative should be presented more or less than another based on their weight.
- If you select Dynamic, Samsung DSP will manage this aspect for you. The weight of each creative will be recalculated based on the best performing creative on Click-Through Rate (CTR) percentage.
Creatives
This section reveals the matching results based on the parameters set in the General Settings section.
- In the list, click the gray check mark to select the creatives you want to add to this group. Once selected, the check mark will become green, and the Selected tab will become available.
- Click the Selected tab for a clear vision of the creatives that need to be configured.
- Under the Weight column, set a number that will establish a hierarchy that reflects the importance of a creative over another. The more weight you assign to a creative, the more Samsung DSP will broadcast this specific creative. Based on the number of creatives selected, split the weight so that the total equals 100.
Time-Based Rotation
In this section, you can define the time frame during which Samsung DSP delivers the creatives belonging to this group.
By default, the time zone is as per your user settings.
- For the From section, select the date, time, and time zone during which this creative group should start to be active.
- For the To section, select the date, time, and time zone during which this creative group should stop being active.
- Click the grid to customize the daypart your creatives are to be live. When a slot, day (Mon-Sun)/time (12am-11pm) is selected, it will appear as purple, otherwise as white. Clicking either a column (for time) or row (day of the week) will cause the entire column (i.e. that time slot for all days of the week) or all time slots of the day of the week, to be selected or de-selected, respectively. By default, all the slots are selected.
- click Save to confirm.
With respect to the parameters of your campaign or flights, Daypart enables the selection of the time of the day (hourly slots) for different days of the week when the impressions will take place.
The time zone set in the From section will also be applied by default to the selected time slots in the Daypart section, but you can change it if you want a different time zone for the Daypart section.
The day, time and daypart targeting you set will be added as an AND
relationship to the day, time and daypart targeting set at the flight and campaign level.
Geographic Targeting
In this section, you can specify the locations you want to include in your targeting.
You can create your own preset by clicking the floppy disk once your selection is complete.
- Under the Locations tab, click the gray check mark to select the countries and regions you want to include. Once selected, the check mark will become green, and the Selected tab will become available to provide a clear view of your selection.
- Under the DMAs tab, click the gray check mark to select the Designated Market Areas you want to include, only if you select the United States under the Location tab. Once selected, the check mark will become green, and the Selected tab will become available to provide a clear view of your selection.
- Under the Postal Codes tab, use the Included field to add the postal codes or zip codes Samsung DSP should consider.
When using postal/zip codes, we highly suggest you select the country in the Location tab, in addition to the codes, as postal/zip codes can have the same format in multiple countries.
In the lower right-hand corner, click Create Creative Group to finish.
Your creative group will be available under the Creative Groups tab on the Creatives page.
- Add your creative group to the flight by using the Creatives tab. See Flight Creatives for more information.
