Data details
- Data Scope: Samsung ACR system can detect metadata from a game console, monitors, or receivers connected to Samsung TVs via HDMI connection. Cloud-based gaming apps like Google Stadia etc cannot be detected by Samsung ACR systems. The game-related data that can be processed by Audience Builder is limited to what is fingerprinted by Gameopedia at the request of Game Sales teams.
- Data Calculation: A list of Smart TVs is generated based on matching criteria based on specified console, genre, title, or publisher within the selected study period or rolling window. There are no additional filters such as game console association or event type filters applied to generate this list.
- Data Availability/delay: The Video Games fingerprints and metadata are provided by Gameoepdia and updated on a daily basis. Once the data is sent to Samsung DSP, it takes between 48-72 hours to become available for targeting in Audience Builder. If a specific game title is missing from AB, a support ticket needs to be raised for the team to look into the game's metadata. This must be done within 72 hours after the game has been played.
