Samsung DSP allows you to import your own data to enhance the targeting of your campaigns.
By combining both your data and Samsung’s, you get more flexibility and control to further refine your audiences.
For instance, you can require Samsung DSP to target devices only based on criteria such as IP addresses, web addresses, application IDs or locations.
Use this option to group the smart TVs that should be included or excluded from targeting.
Once added to the Targeting tab, this ensures that Samsung DSP will only serve your ads to smart TVs whose IDs belong to your approved list.
Difference with Smart TVs from Audience Builder
Audience Builder’s ACR technology allows you to target more precisely your audience based on the content they consumed. As a result, the flight set with this parameter would increase the campaign’s success rate, as this audience had been pinpointed accurately.
Access
On the left menu, click on Data and select Smart TV Lists.
From this page, you can:
- Use the Status drop-down list [1] to filter the view by presenting only Archived or Active items in the list.
- Use the Column picker icon [2] to customize the view.
- Use the Filter text box [3] to find an item in the list by its name or ID.
- Download the listing as a CSV file by clicking on the CSV button [4].
Create a smart TV list
In the upper right-hand corner, click on +New Smart TV List.
Configuration
- The file must be in a
.csvformat, and contain Samsung Smart TV identifiers known as PSID: Personalized Service Identifier (one per row). See this link Save a workbook to text format (.txt or .csv) - Microsoft Support for more information about creating a.csvfile. - The file should not have headers, no column titles.
- The file size should not exceed 1024 MB (approx. 30 million rows).
- Enter a name for this list.
- Click on the dotted rectangle to browse to, OR drag the
.csvfile containing Smart TV IDs into that box to import them.
- In the Input Source drop-down list, select Samsung Ads.
- In the bottom right-hand corner, click on Create Smart TV List to validate.
Targeting tab (flight configuration)
- In the Smart TV Lists section, enter the name or ID of the Smart TV List you created in the Filter field.
- Click on the checkmark if you want to include the items in your list in the targeting, OR click on the forbidden sign if you want to exclude the items in your list from the targeting.
