  • Study Period: Samsung DSP enables you to build audiences based on a static study period, with pre-defined date ranges (7 days, 30 days, 90 days) or custom ranges. Enter the date range for the study period and click on Apply.

OR

  • Rolling Window: The Rolling window enables the creation of audiences based on a continuously refreshed dataset with respect to the current date, e.g., last 7 days, last 30 days, etc. The rolling window period can be up to a year, defined either in days (1-365) or weeks (1-52), and requires an end date. For the end date, any day between the current date and up to a year ahead may be selected.

  • Viewership threshold: The minimum amount of time a viewer should watch the content for the metrics to be considered.
Samsung DSP will identify and account for TVs that have consumed content per viewing session (i.e., the time the TV is on) and not over the total duration set by the Study Period. This drop-down list includes values ranging from 1 minute to 60 minutes.

Data details

  • Data Source: The metadata related to Episode/Show/Movie is captured and provided by Gracenote, a Samsung ACR metadata partner that maintains a Network to Channel mapping, which is then leveraged by Audience Builder to map channel exposures to a Network. Please note that not all Channels have a network associated with them. Some channels currently map to "NA" (Not Available) or "IND" (Independent) as Networks.
  • Data Scope: Networks data is currently available for a limited number of channels. This data is available across all Geo but coverage varies from geo to geo.
  • Data Calculation: A list of Smart TVs is generated based on their exposure to the specified network within the selected study period or rolling window. If a particular network is not available in Audience Builder, use the linear programs option to select the appropriate programs to help identify the channel.
  • Data Availability/delay: Linear Network data has a time delay of 24 hours from the time it airs to be available in Audience Builder. The Samsung ACR system captures exposure immediately after the linear Network programs are aired, but it takes up to 24 hours for this data to be processed and populated in Audience Builder.
