The Marketplace page allows you to import deals you contracted with an SSP to take advantage of their third-party inventory. Samsung DSP supports Synched and Non-Synched exchanges.
- In the upper right-hand corner, click Import Deal.
- Select an exchange in the drop-down list.
- Based on the exchange you plan to use, please refer to the right documentation section.
Exchange Type | Exchange | Documentation |
---|---|---|
Synched | - AppNexus - BidSwitch - DoubleClick Adx - FreeWheel - Pubmatic - Rubicon - Samsung Ads | Import a Deal from Synched Exchanges |
Non-Synched | - Index Exchange - SpotX - Telaria - The MediaGrid | Import a Deal from Non-Synched Exchanges |
Import a Deal from Synched Exchanges
- Enter the Deal ID you received from the exchange and click Fetch Deal Details.
- Synched Exchanges pre-populate with data from the exchange in the Deal Details section. The Period of Validity (i.e., Start Date and End Date) can be updated in this section.
All other fields are greyed out and cannot be edited.
- For Synched Exchanges, some fields in the Additional Details section might be already completed if the information was available at the exchange level. You can still provide more information about the deal. See Additional Details for more information. If not, click Import Deal to finish.
Import a Deal from Non-Synched Exchanges
Non-Synched Exchanges require you to fill in manually all the fields in the Deal Details section. Retrieve information from the exchange to fill in these fields:
- Deal ID: Enter the Deal ID provided by the exchange.
- SSP Deal Name: Enter a name for this deal. You will be able to search for this deal by using its name on the Deal Listing page.
- Exchange Seller: Select the seller associated with this deal.
- Deal Type: Select the deal type → Private, Public, or Programmatic Guaranteed. If you select Programmatic Guaranteed, the Auction Type drop-down will be set to Fixed and you will have to specify the Budget, Impressions, Start Date, and End Date.
- Auction Type/Currency/ Price: Select if the auction type is Fixed, First Price, Second Price, or Non Fixed. In the next two drop-down lists, select the currency and the price at which the auction should be run for this deal. The price you specify here is the Floor Price, i.e., the lowest price from which the publisher agrees to sell their inventory. Any incoming bid will have to be at or above the floor price to be eligible for an auction.
- First Price: If selected, only the bidder offering the highest amount above the floor price is picked and wins the auction. Let’s say we have three bidders: A, B, and C. If Bidder A offers $2.00, B offers $5.00 and C offers $3.50, the winner will be Bidder B and the price will be $5.00.
- Second Price: Similarly to the First Price type, the highest bidder is picked and wins the auction. However, the amount to be paid is determined based on the second-placed bid, to which we add 1 cent. Let’s say we have three bidders: A, B, and C. If Bidder A offers $2.00, B offers $5.00 and C offers $3.50, the winner will be Bidder B, but the price will be $3.51 (3.50 from the second place bidder (i.e., Bidder B) where 1 cent was added).
- Fixed: The amount set in the Price field is the one that will be paid instantly, i.e., requiring no auction.
- Non Fixed: Select this option if the exchange has not defined whether auction type is First price or Second price.
- Budget (for Programmatic Guaranteed): Enter the amount you agree to pay for using this deal.
- Impressions (for Programmatic Guaranteed): Enter the number of impressions the publisher certifies to deliver.
- Period of Validity (for Programmatic Guaranteed): Slide the Period of Validity switch to define the starting and expiring date for this deal.
- Start Date / End Date : Use the date picker, the time, and the time zone drop-down list to define the validity period for this deal. When the validity period is over, the deal will be set to the FINISHED state.
If you want to provide more information about the deal, you can fill in the fields in the Additional Details section. See the section below for more details. If not, click Import Deal to finish.
