Update on New Flight form

Samsung is rolling out a new and streamlined New Flight form. At this time, you are able to use either version of the form. Learn how to switch between versions here.

Please note: In the older version of the New Flight form, the Name and Schedule function is located in the Strategy tab.

In the General Information section of the New Flight form, you specify when your ad should be delivered by defining the date range and applying day / time parting.

Campaign day/time parting enables the selection of time of the day (hourly slots from :00 until :59 inclusive (for example, 10:00 to 10:59) for different days of the week when the impressions will take place.

  1. In the Flight Name field, enter a name for the flight.
  2. Use the optional External Label field to provide an external label for facilitating reporting across different systems. After Samsung DSP has delivered impressions, you will be able to pull reports pivoted around this field from the Delivery Extract and Interactive reports.
  3. In the Start Date / End Date section, select the date, time, and time zone you want the flight to start and finish. By default, the time zone is as per your user settings. The time zone you set for the Campaign will be applied to the day/time parting.

Please note that if you change the end date when a campaign is running, this may result in delivery disruption or spike in campaign spending.

  4. Click on the Show Day/Time Parting grid if you want to specify a time zone different from the Campaign’s.
    1. Click on an hour (column) or day of the week (row) if you want to select/deselect the entire column or row respectively. When a slot, day (Mon-Sun)/time (12am-11pm) is selected, it will appear as purple, otherwise as white.

By default, Samsung DSP selects all the slots. The time zone set in the General Information section of the campaign will also apply to the selected time slots in the day/time parting.

  • If you select Programmatic Guaranteed in the Budget Allocation field of a campaign, this section will be disabled.
  • For Shared (Prioritize impressions) campaigns, you can edit this field only at the Campaign level, in the Budget section. See Set up a Campaign for more information.
