Connected Devices

Prev Next

The Connected Devices targeting solution allows you to identify devices connected to Samsung TVs, so you can build campaign strategies focused on audiences who use those devices during a certain study period.

Users can browse and target by device types, device brands, and specific products independently or in concert.
Selecting device types or brands narrows the available search results for the device product drop-down. Enhance operational performance of each feature by applying a study period or rolling window.

Connected Devices audience segments allow you to:

  • Quantify connected device usage across a spectrum of similar devices.
  • Create a segment that targets all devices of the same type (e.g., all Google Chromecast streaming devices) during a static study period.
  • Define a segment based on device type usage for subsequent inclusion or exclusion targeting, then target anyone who has NOT used that device type in a rolling window time frame, for example.

You will need to add Connected Devices to an audience. If you have not created an audience yet, see Audiences for more information.

    • Rolling Window: The Rolling window enables the creation of audiences based on a continuously refreshed dataset with respect to the current date, e.g., last 7 days, last 30 days, etc. The rolling window period can be up to a year, defined either in days (1-365) or weeks (1-52), and requires an end date. For the end date, any day between the current date and up to a year ahead may be selected.
